Late afternoon visitor. Heron perched on the fence by the wildlife pond where the frogs were sensibly keeping their heads down!

A charm of Goldfinch. First time we’ve seen so many together at the one time for quite a while.

No nest box visits today but despite the wet weather (18mm of rain since midnight) the Long-tailed Tits have visited a couple of times.

Having bemoaned the lack of birds for the RSPB’s “Big Garden Bird Watch 2021” the flock of Long-tailed Tits passed through!
