New Raspberry Pi SCB application BirdNET-Pi on test this morning. Listens for, records, and analyses bird song making suggestions as to the type of bird recorded. We’ll see how the rest of the day goes.

New HIKVISIONUK IPC-B140H-M 2.8mm Lens 4MP IP PoE Bullet camera installed outside the hedgehog house this afternoon is working well. Aided and abetted by a little extra IR illumination. Just need the hedgehogs now.

For those of a technical bent, new cabinet to extend the garden network At the top NETGEAR 8 port switch (4POE/4), middle HIKVISION CVBS IPTV encoder and bottom twin power socket with USB outlets for CVBS/HDMI converters.
New Nest Box and Camera
It’s arrived 🙂 Gardenature IP camera nest box hopefully for resident Robin. Just need some decent weather now to reorganise garden network for installation.

Now have the best of both worlds in the Gardenature side view nest box which has been modified (prototyping is not pretty!) to add an overhead camera so we can see directly into the nest cup.
And the side-view stream is now back online.
